Stuntz, Steven C. (1910/1942). List of the Agricultural Periodicals of the United States and Canada Published During the Century 1810-1901. Miscellaneous Publication No. 398. Washington, D.C.: United States Government Printing Office.
This is an exhaustive list of agricultural periodicals that appeared during a one hundred year period in the U.S. and Canada. Stuntz provides starting and ending dates as well as title changes and location of publication. The list begins in 1810 because that was the date of the first but short-lived Agricultural Museum. Stuntz considers the American Farmer to be the second true farm paper.
